August 15, 1918 - Lillian Gish

Today Mary goes to the movies with Miss Hayden and Miss Thielacker to see Lillian Gish  in The Great Love at the Arcadia Theatre.  Lillian Gish (1893-1993) appeared in films from 1912 to 1987.  A brief bio can be found at PBS American Masters.

In her early professional years, Gish collaborated frequently with director D.W. Griffith as she did in The Great Love, now thought to be a lost film.
