April 6, 1918 - More from April 5

April 6 was a fairly routine and self critical day for Mary.  But there is more from yesterday worth detailing.

Mary went to the Strand Theatre yesterday.  She does not mention the name of the movie or the actor in the starring role, but according to newspaper advertisements what was playing was Naughty, Naughty starring Enid Bennett.  Here is summary of the movie from Exhibitors Herald April 13, 1918, page 27:

I suspect Mary's fondness for the movie may in part have had to do with the promotion of dancing.  We will find out somewhat more about Mary's passion for the dance later.

Some of the movies Mary attends in 1918 no longer exist.  I have been unable to determine if Naughty Naughty has been lost or might still be viewed.
